  • Hi @ideal1,

Can you post a screenshot of the error you’re getting?

The error, most likely, is not caused by Wordfence. It’s simply indicating that your jQuery file is loading before other required site assets (files) are loaded.

To fix the error, all you have to do is defer the loading of jQuery. Many WP plugins can do that for you.

Here’s a great article that explains your error (pending submittal of your screenshot).

    Hope this helps a bit.

    Hi @ideal1,

    In response:

    1. Since your request falls outside WP guidelines, I highly recommend contacting Perfmatters Support for assistance.

    2. You can share screenshots of your issue with any of the following tools: Lightshot or ImgBB.

If you agree, would you be so kind to close this topic as “Resolved”?

PS: Your site displays great and loads very fast (we’re located in the US).

    Best wishes!

I’ll reply here for now in case any further information comes from @ideal1 about the issue so I see the topic change.

Naturally, the initial post doesn’t show an error around jQuery, just the path, so it may indeed be something that needs to be addressed elsewhere unless you’re seeing some Wordfence-specific errors or blocks on this file that may become apparent with further information.

    Thanks!

    Hi @ideal1,

This is a screenshot from an optimization plugin by the looks of things that looks to be suggesting loading the jquery file in question differently would save 300ms (0.3s) of load time on your site. This is not output from Wordfence or an error so there’s nothing for me to look into here.

Some plugins or themes will need to load jQuery in this way to function properly and ensure the latest version is always being used to prevent loading errors in your site. As suggested by the screenshot, changes to how this loads can break features, so I would recommend making no changes.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi @ideal1,

    I agree 100% with @wfpeter’s comment.

Your screenshot shows the performance results for your website using the online tool PageSpeed Insights or Google Lighthouse (both tools yield the same display format).

To solve your issue, I would like to offer the following:

Option 1: Install the plugin SiteGround Optimizer (activate the Frontend settings “Combine JavaScript Files” and “Defer Render-blocking JavaScript”)

Option 2: Install the plugin Async JavaScript. This plugin is not all that intuitive, so you will need to test the different settings offered by this plugin.

    Best wishes!
