• Hi y’all.

I installed WordPress into the /blog subdirectory and the client has subsequently decided that he doesn’t like the idea of his site visitors seeing the word “blog” in the URL field. Says he’s not using the site as an actual blog and thinks the word “blog” will have unprofessional connotations to his business clients/prospects.

I disagree, but I can’t spare the time to try to convince him otherwise.

However I am adamant that the WordPress files should be isolated from the rest of the site. To me that’s just plain common sense and good housekeeping.

So I figure I can placate him by simply renaming /blog to something like /home.

NOTE: I do not want to MOVE the WordPress installation to another folder — just rename the existing one.

    So…

What are the implications of renaming the WordPress folder?

What other changes would I have to make for this to work?

    TIA
    – Rosie
