Renaming the buddypress member navigation menu item

  • I want to change the “Messages” nav item name to “My Messages”. I first thought it I simply had to insert $bp['messages']['name'] = 'My Messages'; in my functions.php child theme file, but it seems like I have to write something else. Can someone please help me with this?
