• It would be nice to be able to rename files this way:

    1. Double-clicking its tab when it’s open in the editor.

    2. There should be a Rename button in the file and folder list. It could be made so that it’s visible only when hovering the same row.

    3. The second should be applied to deleting files as well. I created some test files and would like to get rid of them, but don’t see a way without SFTP.

As a sidenote, any features that use the secondary mouse button won’t be accessible to many, myself included. Too many sites misuse that feature, making it a good practice to turn off the feature in any case. For some people it’s ok to have extra functionality available with the second mouse button. It’s best to consider those an extra shortcut, not the only option.

Any update on getting at least one way to rename files? Would have come in handy every week we’ve used WPide so far.

I know exactly what you mean.

Also the import of a zip archive both as an upload or from a URL is also on a similar list.

I will try and get this done on the next update.

Thanks! Deleting files would also come in handy, in case that’s not already on your TODO ??
