I have been using the “brute force” feature of wp security for a couple of weeks now with no problems and both of my websites. On one of my websites, when I go to the renamed wordpress login URL that I created, it simply goes to my homepage, even though the address bar says I’m where I should be. The website works, however I cannot access with WP login page for some reason out of nowhere… I know I am using the correct login URL. I’m not sure if this could be related, but even with the security I had multiple issues with malware somehow, and I ended up signed up with sitelock on both of my websites. They now clear any malware for me.

I read in another thread to simply view my .htaccess and find the login slug. Seems easy enough, and it worked for the other guy who had this same problem. I have tried many ways to view my .htaccess file, but all it says is

    “order deny,allow
    deny from all”

I’ve been using wordpress for about a year now, however I am not from a web development background so some of the really specific techniques I am not familiar with.

    Any advice?
