    Localization files for Catalan translation should be named as “gce-ca.mo” and “gce-ca.po” instead of “gce-ca_CA.mo” and “gce-ca_CA.po”.

    Catalan isn’t spoken in Canada (_CA) but in regions of Spain (_ES), France (_FR) and Italy (_IT). Anyway, in terms of software localization, Catalan language has got only one region (don’t say this to a philologist), then, the right language code is simply “ca”.

    All WordPress plugins and core are using “ca” as Catalan language code. Please, use the same code.

    @francgaya,

    Thanks for bringing this up. I actually just finished updating the files for the next release. The translator who is helping us told me about this also so it will definitely be fixed in the next update.

    Thanks!

    I have a problem with another plugin (language localization), but also the catalan language file (called ca_ES). Could this be because the files are falsely named?

    Cheers!

    Hello there,

    I’m resurrecting an old thread to point out that since version 3.0 of the plugin we’d like to experiment translations with Transifex:

    https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/simple-calendar

    this should provide an easy to use and practical tool to translate this plugin (no coding skills or external applications required!)

    also, a lot in v. 3.0.0 is changed and the old translations are mostly inadequate (on the positive side, most of the frontend part doesn’t require translations and in fact will support more languages)
