    Hi @dglingren,
I have multiple image files that Title, Caption filled with appropriate names, but actual image file name like that…

    FileName
    IMG_1001.jpg
    IMG_1002.jpg
    IMG_1003.jpg
    IMG_1004.jpg

It’s possible to rename the image file name by using its Title or Caption with auto increment numbering if Caption or Title found duplicate.

    Example:

    Rose-1.jpg
    Rose-2.jpg
    Rose-3.jpg
    Rose-4.jpg

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the question. MLA has no feature or internal code that alters the actual name of the file attached to a Media Library item in any way. This was a deliberate design choice going back to the first MLA version and I have declined a few requests to add such features over the years. There are other plugins you can use for this task, as mentioned in these earlier topics:

    support “Phoenix Media Rename”

Stop MLA from renaming my files

Media File Rename & Media Library Assistant

I regret the news is not better, but I am marking this topic resolved simply because your question has been answered. I hope you find another plugin or solution that meets you needs.
