Rename

This was by design due to people uploading images from digital cameras and overwriting files that were previously uploaded. Since dropbox does not auto-rename files that are preexisting in the account, I don’t have plans to change this.

Is there any chance we could be given the option of choosing how the files are re-named. For instance, I would really like to enforce a particular naming schema where I ask the visitor to provide their name and email address and then I’d like to rename the file based on that.

@rpyles I started implementing custom fields into the shortcode which I hope with be similar to what your requesting. The idea is that you set the fields in the shortcode and the contents of those fields get emailed with a link to the file on dropbox. This feature should be available in the next release.
