• I am currently using comfy theme that relies heavily on timthumb.php. My problem is I extremely long load times due to the theme sending a server request every time it loads a thumbnail on my site. My particular theme has a ton of thumbnails on the home page sometimes taking 30seconds to load. I read that I can disable the use of timthumb and let wordpress do the image resizing for me.

I’ve searched far and wide and cannot find a proper tutorial on how to remove timthumb.

Considering the number of sites affected by this vulnerability, I’m surprised there is nothing out there explaining how to remove it. All of the posts I’ve seen in the forum have been closed too.

I know there’s an update and I’ve updated my script, but I would prefer to let wordpress resize my images. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks…
