• Having updated a plugin and crashed wordpress i need to remove it and reinstall (without the stupid plugin). Can anyone advise ? this was installed from my hosting control panel and I’m worried that if i used FTP access to erase the site it will leave traces behind that will stop me re-installing on top.

  • If your wordpress was installed via web host automatically, you shall uninstall it.
Alternatively, in order to fix your problem, you can rename the plugin folder located at wp-content/plugins and then try accessing the site. This shall fix it. and if the site runs fine, delete the renamed plugin folder.
