• I want to delete a User that has Admin access. It asks when no matter which of the two choices you pick from, Deleting content that associated with that user. I surely don’t want to remove any content that was added by that user to get deleted. I just want to remove the user without deleting any content that the user made.

  • You need to have admin access in order to delete other user which has admin rights too.

You can delete the user by logging into your wp-admin > users > delete the user you want.

It will ask you to Attribute all content posted by the user to any other user and choose the one you want these to posts to assign and proceed to delete the user.

This other person has Admin access just like I do too. We both have Admin access.
When I login to remove that user with Admin access it asks about content that he has added. If I do delete him will any content that he’s entered be removed from the site?

No, before you are about to delete the user, it will ask you about whether the posts made by him can be assigned to another user.

So what happens if I say No and what happens if I say Yes

This is what will happen if you try to delete the user.

You have specified this user for deletion:

    ID #2: xxxx

What should be done with content owned by this user?

    Delete all content.
Attribute all content to: (user list here)

So, choose whatever you want from the above two options.

I recall in older versions of WP this question wasn’t there as far as content goes. Deleting a user was just that, delete user. No content question.

I’ll have to look at all the pages and see what’s assigned to him and what’s assigned to me. We were both working on the site when it was being created.

I guess my other choice is to just change his password so he can’t get in anymore.

Well that’s not going to work as all Pages have admin listed so I won’t know if its him or me that created that page.

How about in his user settings if I change his role from Admin to one of the other choices or the one that says No role for this site
