• Hi guys, I am new to wordpress with no experience in html, php or css. I have been working on a website based on a free template and would like to make some changes.

If you go to my website (www.madcoffeeco.com) and look under the ‘About’ tab, I have inserted an image “OUR VISION: to build a modern haven in every corner of the world” near the top of the page with a transparent black background. However, I cannot seem to be able to get rid of the unwanted bottom padding/border/margin (or whatever else you call it). I want the background color to be a box just the size of the text with no extra padding on the bottom. Top, left and right padding is fine but the bottom padding is too large and I would like to reduce it. I have tried playing with padding, margin and border controls but have not been successful. Also, I have a similar issue with “Join the Franchise” button which has too big of a border to the left and to the right. Would anyone here be able to advise me on how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Simon

I’m looking at this page with Chrome and to me, the padding around the “Our Vision” is the same on all sides. Do you still need help with this issue?

    Hope that helps! ??

Looking in Firefox, seems the same on all sides to me too. But then it would be, because that’s not text: it’s an image. There’s no way to change the size of that background using CSS.

Simply edit the image and crop it.

But for the sake of legibility, I suggest you make the text in that image bigger/bolder because it’s barely readable.

Also, elsewhere on the page, reconsider the use of yellow text on a white background.
