• Hello there!

I know this may sound like the typical ”how to add/remove a favicon” question, but it isn’t. Unfortunately, that’s all I was able to find before taking the time to ask for help here. I have a few other installations with the WP logo doesn’t show on the browsers including FF, Edge, and Chrome. I’m talking about the WP logo circle on the linked image. Thanks so much in advance.

You can set an icon for your site at Settings > General in your site’s Dashboard.

How long it takes for a favicon cache to clear, and even whether or not it can be manually cached varies greatly depending on the browser.

Once the icon is set at Settings > General, it’ll appear for all new visitors and eventually at some point for old visitors.

Thanks a lot for your speedy reply, James. That setting you mention is for the favicon. The favicon is fine. What I mean is the WP logo that drops a WP menu down. I circled it in red on the picture. It is not visible on Edge’s browser but it is on Chrome, FF and Brave. I would like it hidden as with the Edge browser.

Oh, that whole bar will only be visible when you’re logged in to the site, normal visitors won’t see it.
