Greetings. Just wrote my first book review and while I generally like your plugin I have a problem I can’t seem to resolve. The snippet feature results in the opening lines of the post being repeated twice.

While I DO want a snippet on the main page, having the opening lines of the post repeat on the review page itself is unsightly and could confuse readers.

The area/snippet in question is to the right of the 5.0 rating box at the top left. The snippet reads: “Welcome to my first book review! It’s on The Success Principles: How To Get From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be (10th Anniversary Ed.) by Jack Canfied. I decided to start with this book …”

Then, after the rating category boxes, the entire thing is repeated. I.E. The Post actually starts.

Is there any way to remove that snippet entirely, but still have a snippet on the main page?

    Thank you,
    AK

    Hello,

The way I wrote that feature was for it to use the few couple of words in the review to use as the snippet/excerpt if the author did not explicitly fill out the “Excerpt” area in the review area. It was built like this to prevent Google from ignore your review because the review excerpt was missing.

It would be a good idea to fill out the “Excerpt” area with a sentence describing an overview of your review, with your keywords mixed in.

Otherwise you can enter a single space in the review excerpt box, then save your review. This will then remove the auto-snippet, displaying only a blank area.
