Please provide a link to a Category archive page where the player is displaying but you don’t want it to display. Seeing how it looks may help us to provide a solution.

    Give this a try:
1.) Log in to your WordPress site
2.) Go to PowerPress >> Settings >> Website tab
3.) If it’s currently checked, uncheck the box next to Display player / links: WordPress Excerpts
4.) Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page
5.) Clear any site caches, if applicable

If that doesn’t help with your issue, reply here and let us know.

    Nope. It was already unchecked.

More than likely your theme’s CSS is showing the player independant of where you ahve that setting in PowerPress. Check with your theme developer to see if there is a way to not include the player code in the excerpts.

    Something else to try first.

In the Website tab of PowerPress settings, shortcode menu towards the bottom is a “Having Issues?” pulldown with 4 “yes” answers. Select each one, clear the cache and see if the player acts as you want it to.
