removing the author from share preview

Hi,

I promise I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure this out, but I have to beg assistance.

I would lke to be able to modify what shows up in the preview when I post a single-post page to Facebook. (I get what I want when I post the domain without any directory) Most importantly, I want to remove the author name.

I’ve testes several plug-ins and tried some Open Graph tag implementations, but I can’t get rid of my name from the share.

All help sincerely appreciated.
