    Your instructions say:

This plugin can easily be styled by using the following ids below should you need to, if you require more flexibility than this please feel free to suggest something

    wp-realtime-sitemap-menu
    wp-realtime-sitemap-pages
    wp-realtime-sitemap-posts
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_article *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_book *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_chart *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_speechoutline *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_authority *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_legalnotice *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_library *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-link_library_links *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-wysijap *custom post type*
    wp-realtime-sitemap-archives
    wp-realtime-sitemap-categories
    wp-realtime-sitemap-tags

I would like to be able to show some custom post types, but not others. I am reading the above to mean that I should be able to use the following shortcode, for example, to show only those items of custom post type clg_speechoutline:

    [wp-realtime-sitemap-clg_speechoutline *custom post type*]

However, when I try to use that as a shortcode, it doesn’t work. Indeed, nothing in that list seems to work as a shortcode. Am I misreading the instructions? Is there some other code I could use to show only that custom post type?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Apparently there’s a misunderstanding: It says “styled by using the following ids”, which would be about CSS for styling output. Not about creating output with shortcodes.

Ah, okay. Apparently, there is no way to do what I wanted to do, which is to have it show only certain custom post types. I’ve now found a different plugin that will do that. Thanks for your help!

@lausianne Thank you very much for taking the time to provide some help and support for my plugin, it is much appreciated.

@carolwp May I query as to which plugin your using instead? I am open to new ideas and direction as what features users would like to see for future versions.
