There are multiple websites that I have not been involved with for years that I am still listed as a website administrator. All sites do have another administrator on them, but I’m still there, even though I’ve had nothing to do with the sites for years.

I have asked the site owners and other admins repeatedly to remove me from the site, but to no avail. Is there any way to remove myself as site admin on these sites?

Sorry, we here have no control over your sites whatsoever. www.remarpro.com provides the software for other people to use their own sites on their own hosts.

If you still have admin rights as a user, then try logging into the WordPress dashboard, go to Users, check your username, select Delete and Apply.

I have the ability to remove admin rights of others (which is not what I want to do), but I don’t seem to have the ability to remove myself. These are sites that O am no longer affiliated with and would like to remove myself.

How can I remove myself? Is it even possible?

Assuming that the issue is the notification emails to the administrators (e.g. core updates), how about:
    – downgrading your role to contributor
    – changing the email address to something random e.g. gjjhvv^£/hhg@fhjhfc^*>vhhh.com

I have the ability to remove admin rights of others (which is not what I want to do), but I don’t seem to have the ability to remove myself.

Note that each site must have at least one admin user account. Are you sure that the other accounts you can see in Users have the Admin role?

Thank you for your responses, @barnez. I had a feeling that I was going to have to go to those extremes.
