    Hey @taco100 and Happy New Year,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Let’s assume that to purchase Product A it is necessary to first add Product B to the cart. If you have added both products to the cart and then remove Product B, then:
    1. a notice similar to this one: https://cl.ly/9b9da44be2eb will show up and;
    2. the checkout page will display this message: https://cl.ly/e38216b01b0e.

    If this is not what you see in your site, then there is a chance that this issue is caused by a conflict with your active theme or some other plugin.

    Here’s how we usually address this type of issue:

    1. Temporarily switch back to a default WordPress theme (or Storefront). If this resolves the issue, then please bring this to the attention of your theme author.
    2. If the issue persists, then disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce and Product Dependencies. If this fixes the issue, then slowly re-enable plugins until you find the one that triggers it.

    To avoid causing any problems to your live site, the best way to do this would be to try setting up a staging site, for example using a plugin such as WP Staging or Duplicator — and then troubleshoot the issue on the staging site.

    Note that some hosts provide a Control Panel option for creating development/staging sites easily — if you are not sure about this, it might be worth asking your host as this is definitely the easiest and fastest way to do it.

    Let us know how this goes!

    Hey @taco100,

    Thanks for trying that!

    We took a look at this page: https://www.travelkey.co.il/product/%d7%9b%d7%9c%d7%9c%d7%99/%d7%9e%d7%a0%d7%95%d7%99-%d7%97%d7%99%d7%a0%d7%9d-%d7%9c%d7%a7%d7%9c%d7%99%d7%a7%d7%95-pro/ and we noticed that you are still using your previously active theme. Is there a chance that you reverted back after following the troubleshooting steps we shared with you?

    If so, then could you please create a staging site with:

    • only WooCommerce and Product Dependencies active and;
    • Storefront as the default theme and;

    send us a link to the free product in this site?

    Hey @taco100,

    Thanks for creating a staging site!

    Could you please try adding the WooCommerce core compliant Storefront theme instead? There is a chance that there is some custom code left in the theme you are using so it is best to use a brand new theme.

    Sure
    I can’t find “WooCommerce core compliant Storefront” in WP theme search’ do you have another name I should look for?

    Hey @taco100,

    Thanks for that!

    Indeed, the issue still persists with the Storefront theme active. To investigate this further it is necessary to take a closer look at your configuration.

    Could you please send us an e-mail at support[at]somewherewarm.gr so that we can take it up from there? Moreover, could you set up an admin account for your staging site using the same e-mail address?

    P.S.: Don’t forget to replace [at] with @.

    Sorry for the late reply.
    I’ve sent you what you’ve asked for.
    Thanks!

    Hey @taco100,

    Thanks for sending an e-mail directly to us!

    Taking a look at your site, we noticed that the free product is part of the ?????? ????? ?????? ????? ???? category — this category is also added as a category dependency within this product. Therefore, during cart validation Product Dependencies always sees a product from the ?????? ????? ?????? ????? ???? category there.

    Since you have confirmed that changing the free product’s category resolved this issue, I will mark this tread as solved.
