Removing & Reinstalling Woocommerce/Stroefront
-
Hi, community,
I have been slowly teaching myself WP and WooCommerce through Lynda.com courses.
I had been installing Woocommerce as part of my main WP theme. However, when the course got to the Storefront theme, I could see it was a better interface for running a shop, however, I did not want it as the main theme for my regular WP site.
After a bit of research, I thought that the solution would be to create a “https://markmcdermott.com/wp/shop/” directory on my server, and then load WP/Woocommerce/Storefront to that.
Well, at the moment, that store link seems to not work well, but my question is, would I be all right the Uninstall Woocommerce from my main “/wp/” page, maybe re-install it once more on the “/wp/shop/”.
Or perhaps I should have just created a second “/wp/’ directory and site entirely instead of a sub-directory.
Yes, I am scratching along on a free hosting site, until I get this blog to be a bit more serious. So the main WP site and the Storefront took up both of the SQL databases I’m allowed on the site anyway.Or was there another way to apply the Storefront theme to my store only, and leave the rest of my site at Twenty-seventeen?
Thanks!
