Removing posts , and blocking posters.

  • I hold an account on Mediaite. Last week, I was unable to post , which I assume was because I made the mistake of spelling out a profanity rather than using #* for letters. If those posts are going to be deleted, and the poster blocked, there should be some notification to the poster/account holder. Hopefully, a temporary blocking for a first offense.

    It may not relate at all. I’m just looking for any information that might help. Is there a word monitor built into the software that flags certain words? Is there an auto block for posters that use a word on the list? Is it temporary? Is it controlled only by the site using wordpress?

    Each site would determine such things for themselves. All of the above is possible. You’d have to check with the site concerned.
