removing pingbacks from comments

    I’m trying to remove pingback comments on my posts. I tried unchecking the box in discussion settings, but they were still showing up, and I wasn’t sure if this would not allow pingbacks (??) – can anyone help me with some code so that these ugly things don’t appear under my comments. Thanks!
