    Hi,

Does it make sense to remove inactive plugins?
This to make my site faster, or does that not weigh on site speed?

    Thanks!

    Yes.

    No.

An inactive plugin does not impact your site load speed in anyway. The plugins are inactive and not engaged at all.

It’s just good housecleaning to remove unused and inactive plugins. Unless it’s a plugin that you occasionally activate then there’s no reason to leave those on your WordPress installation. The same applies to unused themes.

There is some conversation that inactive plugins or themes may be a security risk but honestly that’s not really the case and plugins and themes will be updated if you retrieved them from www.remarpro.com.

    Thanks Jan,

I thought this was the case, but now I’m sure.
