removing “more” button from admin editor – is my method safe?

  • I want to disable or remove the “more” button from the write-page (and any other) part of the admin area.

    To do this i removed all mention of wpMore from:

    wp-includes\js\tinymce\plugins\wordpress\editor_plugin.js

    Everything seems to be working fine.. but i’d just like to know if there might be some unforseen problems or issues?

    perhaps there is a better way of doing this?

  • Install tinymce-advanced plugin. Then go to Managment (I have the WP in Spanish and I see “Administrar” and then (one line under) on the right hand click on TinyMCE Advanced. There you can move remove and drop the icons as you want.
