removing home from breadcrumbs

    I have an ecommerce website and say for a product the breadcrumbs read class decorations > craft paper > metallic.

    I think this has enough information in the trail and I would like to remove ‘home’. Is it ok to to do that? Is there a reason why this is not a good idea?

    Does google need ‘home’ in the breadcrumbs?

    Hello @lucytech,

    I see this is connected to this other thread you opened before. What you’re trying to achieve seems contradictory. Do you want to remove Home from the trail? I see you’ve accomplished that already.

    Breadcrumbs help users figure out where they are. Removing an item from the trail means users aren’t able to go back to that item from the breadcrumb. The choice is tottally up to you.
