Removing footer not working

Please go to your WP dashboard > Tools > Remove footer credit > Step 1 > and add the following code:
<div class="copyright"><span class="copyright-text">Copyright &copy; 2018 <a href="https://martynphillips-test-domain.virtualdesigncloud.com/" title="Martyn Phillips" >Martyn Phillips</a>. Theme: Himalayas by <a href="https://themegrill.com/themes/himalayas" target="_blank" title="ThemeGrill" rel="author">ThemeGrill</a>. Powered by <a href="https://www.remarpro.com" target="_blank" title="WordPress">WordPress</a>.</span></div>

And in Step 2 add this one:
<div class="copyright"><span class="copyright-text">Copyright &copy; 2018 <a href="https://martynphillips-test-domain.virtualdesigncloud.com/" title="Martyn Phillips" >Martyn Phillips</a>.</span></div>

This will do it!

The code I sent works on your end but you tried changing it? Or are you trying to adapt it for another site?
