removing extra white space before submit button

We see some hidden fields (probably blank list names). Could you navigate to Email Subscribers > Forms and see if there is a custom form? If you have one, please click on Edit and send us the full screenshot.

Can you please try deactivating all other plugins, check if the issue persists and re-activate each plugin?

Thanks @vaksupport. I deactivated the plugins and checked again, the line breaks were still there. I then switched the theme to twentytwenty and the line break was gone! I could not efficiently weed out the culprit though. Finally, this is the CSS that I applied to eliminate the line break which was applied to the hidden elements.
