Removing Download counts from front end

Hi,

I am trying to remove the download count from the front end of my website.

I searched forums and found threads from over a year ago that suggested some custom template creation. However, I found newer ones that referenced the options to remove the counter within the Settings of the plugin.

I’ve already tried to change the settings of the plugin and it now reads “Shows download title only.” However, the counter is still on the page. I tried different browsers and they all show the counter. Any advice for why this might be happening/how to fix?
