Removing – Comments: comments off

  • We are trying to make a site that is less a blog and more a website. There are places where we do not want to allow comments. We can do this, but the post will have the following display:
    Comments: Comments Off
    and
    Comments are closed.

    How can we remove these from the post?

    I found how to remove the Comments are closed. comment, but the other is a little more difficult.

    This should be an option to display or not to display this type of text.

    Hi Rick, if you want to get rid of the comments box I suggest you use this plugin,(One Click Close Comments). Very easy plus doesn’t have any
    Comments: Comments Off
    and
    Comments are closed.

    Once installed the plugin, go to Dashboard go to Posts and you will see a green light next to each post, click it, it will turn red and this means there will be no comments area on your post,

    I will look into this, but I also found the code in the template to remove the text.

    Being a newb to WP, things are hard to find at times. Thanks for the help!
