removing comments

Admin > Options > Discussion > Untick Allow people to post comments on the article

I’m trying to remove the comments so it does not appear on every blog post

The files wp-comments.php and wp-comments-post are likely where you want to comment out “stuff.”

I cannot seem to remove a comment. I get a message stating: “Sorry, you need to enable sending referrers, for this feature to work”. Help!!!
