Removing Category Post Numbers.

are you using the category widget? if so, showing or not showing category counts is an option in the widget edit window.

I’m not using any widgets that I know of… just adjusting what needs tweaking by hand. I’ve searched everywhere, and honestly don’t even know what include the sidebar pulls from.

This string is what inserts the sidebar into the page, but I don’t even see right_sidebar.php anywhere, lol:
include(TEMPLATEPATH.”/right_sidebar.php”);

I’m also using 2.0.11, because I couldn’t get the lastest release to install properly.

right_sidebar.php must be in your theme’s folder. if you copy the contents of that file and paste it here for us to see, https://wordpress.pastebin.ca/ we may be able to change it for you.

That was the 1st place I looked, and that’s why I’m baffled… because right_sidebar.php is not in my template folder. It doesn’t exist anywhere in my blog folder that I can find.

you really shouldnt be running such an old version of wordpress, lots of security holes.

Yeah… that’s where the ftp screenshot is from.

I didn’t want to run the old version – but the newer one wouldn’t install on my box for some reason. I don’t even remember what the specific problem was… but the only “fix” I found in my research was to install 2.0.11.

I have the blog up and running now… but I still can’t figure out how to remove those numbers. Is there some piece of code I can search for? Something that would call for the number of posts in the category?
