    Hi,

    is there a way to remove the border from the widget. I’d like to just have the text scrolling but not showing any border. Alternatively where can I set the color of the border?

    Thanks!

    @kurisutian,

    Are you using shortcode to display news ?

    To set the color of the border you add can some custom css to your theme css file.

    @storeapps,

    no, I’m only using a widget which should just scroll trough some announcements. Just a very simple approach to let people know if upcoming scheduled classes are canceled, nothing fancy… I just need to have the style matching my overall layout from the template.

    @kurisutian,

    News announcement scroll plugin doesn’t sets any border to your news announcements, which means your theme might be adding border to your widgets so to modify the same you would need to add some custom css to your theme css file.

    Is there a way to increase the box-size of the announcements and control the movement of the text therein.

    I want my announcements to be static and bigger box-size.

    @neerajguptavns,

    To modify the height and width of the box-size go to Settings->News Announcement Scroll->Widget Settings and modify the ‘Height’ and ‘Width’ values (in pixels) in the settings. Further, the ‘Slide direction’ and ‘Slide Timeout’ settings controls the movement of the text within the widget.

    If you want your news to be static then you must have only one news showed in the widget.
