Removing a Sidebar in custom template an Older/Newer/read more links not working

I’ve gotten relatively far in creating my own theme for wordpress, but am having a few problems that I cannot figure out.

I want to remove the sidebar on my Music Blog page, but not the other pages.

Also the older and newer post links just refreshes the page. When viewing blog posts you cannot continue reading the content because there is no link for it.

Help would be appreciated.
