Removes lines from htaccess

Hi,
Is it possible that this plugin edits htaccess?
I installed it and it probably removed all WP lines in htaccess of my multi site.
After that it was not possible to see another page than the homepage of all sub sites ??

But it was fixed soon.

Is this possible? And is there a filter to prevent this and add lines manually?
And is it also possible that the plugin saves the file only temporary in the uploads folder? And removes it after the mail has been send?
