    Hi,
I notice several taxonomies that I removed from the search pool is still searchable, cache is off. I’d like to know where exactly are the data being stored? Maybe I can manually erase it if I know where to find the unwanted data(taxonomies)?

    please help, thanks.

    Hi,

The plugin does not store any search data, it searches the actual WordPress database. Every taxonomy term exists in the WordPress core wp_terms database table.

If the taxonomy terms are not present there, and you are still getting posts results based on the keywords, then it means, they are matched in a different field – can be the post content, title or a selected custom field.

In that case can you provide a bit more details?

    • Do post type results show up related to taxonomy term keyphrases? If so, then are these present in the live results window, results page or somewhere else?
    • Or do you see some non-existent taxonomy terms somewhere on the back-end? If so, where exactly?
    • Can you add a relevant URL with sample search phrases which I can try?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

I’m glad that you ask for further details.
I’m going to use an example to walk you through my testing approach:
I have a category named “Alphabet table” with one taxonomy: “Last Alphabet”

    Last Alphabet
    A N/A
    B A
    C B

    Search result:
    Search for: A, Result: A, B
    Search for: B, Result: B, C
    Search for: C, Result: C

However, It gives me the same outcome even though I excluded taxonomy “Last Alphabet” under Taxonomy Terms Search.

    My expected outcome:
    Search for: A, Result: A
    Search for: B, Result: B
    Search for: C, Result: C

I’d love to build this environment and share it with you if you can instruct me how to do so.

    Regards,
    Jim

    Dear Ernest,

I’d love to but I lost my account with wpdreams, no email no pw, hence I can’t open a support ticket with purchased code. Any suggestions?

    Regards,
    Jim
