Removed Plugin, still see maintenance page between page loads

    I disabled and deleted this plugin, but still see the maintenance page that I designed with it, for a brief flash, between page loads. If you use the link above and then navigate to any other page or link within the site, you will likely notice it. How do I actually remove the code added by this plugin?

    This extra load between pages is creating unnecessary server requests and I’d like to fix that.

    I visited your web page and was not able to see the issue. Can you try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser to see if this makes any difference?

    The issue has persisted across multiple browsers and devices, with variously cleared caches. The server and app level caches have been cleared as well. One does not always notice the issue, but I just saw it again moments ago. When the server hangs a little or there is delay when navigating between two pages of the site, there is a flash of a large logo: that’s the page I built with SeedProd blinking for just a few milliseconds. Clearly the plugin modified/left some files behind – wondering where to look/how to remove that. If you come to the site with a clear cache and click around to a few different pages – especially if you visit products and add to/view cart – and watching closely you should notice the issue at least once.

    Sure – here’s a Loom recording, you can see when I click “My Account” that the SeedProd page flashes for a couple of milliseconds between pages. The plugin has been disabled and deleted for months:

    I watched the screencast you kindly provided and did notice the flash between the pages. This is commonly referred to as a Flash of Unstyled Content (FOUC).

    It seems that this FOUC is caused by the original size of your logo, which is visible on the page load and needs some time to shrink to its final size.

    For best results, we recommend that you save the logo image at the same width and height that you need it to appear on your website. You can use photo editing tools such as Photoshop to save your images in the correct size before uploading them to your website.

    Alternatively, you can try using a caching/optimization/preloader plugin to avoid this.
