removed plugin and still getting spam

i removed the plugin because even with a captcha i was receiving so much spam (over 20 messages a day). the weird thing is that even after deleting the plugin im still getting tons of spam through the contact form 7 plugin. please help! im afraid i wont see real messages from prospective clients because im receiving all of these spamy messages from your plugin.
