Removed even more feature from an already barebones plugin

  • They’ve recently removed another trustbox option for free users and locked it behind their ridiculous ￡199 monthly paywall. That leaves free users with a grand total of 1 way to display their reviews, YES 1 single way, and they’ve made it the widget as tiny as possible.

    This was already a terrible plugin before this recent change as the default review email invite is styled horribly out of the box with no easy way to change it. The trustboxes themselves slow your site down and not by an insignificant amount. It all adds up, especially if you decide to display your reviews on every page.

    I think it says alot about TrustPilot as a company themselves when their own plugin is heading towards a 1 out of 5 star…

    Here is hoping they can turn it around by adding back in some previously free trustboxes or at the very least offer some more affordable monthly plans for small businesses.
