• Hello! Please view on mobile: https://www.hubfortheheart.com

I recently updated my plugins and upgraded to latest version of WordPress. Now, there’s a yucky hamburger emoji in the upper left hand corner for mobile only, not desktop. I don’t like it and I just want it to be my regular dropdown menu with the black rules!

I’ve spent a day crawling forums and trying different fixes, including a custom CSS code that was recommended on a WP forum, and I’ve also added a plugin that removes emojis, but nothing is working!! Help please. Is there a plugin I updated that is the offender? What happened and how do I fix?

The more detailed instruction you can provide, the better please, as I’m a humble designer….not super confident in getting around WordPress.

    Thank you!!!

That’s part of the design of your theme.

You’re using a commercial theme and need support, so please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

Thanks so much, Steven. This is helpful.

Interestingly enough: I reactivated WordFence plugin and that lil’ burger was all gobbled up and is now gone from mobile. <whew!> Not sure that was the culprit, but it’s gone now, so I’m happy.

Thanks again for your prompt support.

There is a simple way to accomplish this with CSS, but be aware it’s going to make it very difficult for anyone to navigate to any other pages if there’s no reference to the navigation menu.

You can type in the following into the Custom CSS area in the Customizer to accomplish what you need.

    ‘li.mobile-menu-icon-toggle {display:none;}`

Thanks for the replies. I have an update:

My former web designer has the license # for my theme and she is not responding to my request to get the license (I recently opted to work on the site myself).

Is there a way to find my license number for the theme without going through the designer? I can’t access the support you mentioned with the license #.

    Thanks for an update!

Clarification: I need the purchase code to get support for the theme. Ideas, please? Can I find that anywhere in WordPress? Thank you!
