Remove title from search results page

  • Currently, my search page title formats itself like so:

    search_term | Search Results | site_title

    I would like the search results to be titled simply:

    Search_term

    I contacted my theme developer who stated:

    “…we havn’t used wp_title in the theme since Dec 14”

    So any help to achieve the above appreciated, thanks.
