• I have a particular theme I like but when I view posts from a chosen category its not displaying them how I would prefer. I know its possible to remove theme from particular pages but is is it possible to remove it from eg [ redundant link removed ] this prior to changing theme would display all post content on the single page without having to select read more to view the post
    Hope this makes sense.

  • Hi @redhillbowls , do you know the name of that theme that you’re using? This will help us in developing the code to address the issue.

    On a side note: if you’d like to learn a bit more about this, just for your understanding, here’s a link to how WordPress will work with categories:

    Hi thanks for your response. Yes the theme is responsiveness

    Hi, redhillbowls.

    Thanks for the info.

    I found the theme in the theme repository, but please note:

    This theme hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

    is present on the theme’s page.

    I did find the file present for the theme’s template.
    Specifically it’s

    themes->responsivness->components->post->content.php

    .

    And I see that there’s a comment that would allow me to overwrite the theme with a child theme in archive.php – at least I think so:

    /*
    				 * Include the Post-Format-specific template for the content.
    				 * If you want to override this in a child theme, then include a file
    				 * called content-___.php (where ___ is the Post Format name) and that will be used instead.
    */

    Do you want all the text from, for example, the post on Alex Gaunt to appear on the competition entries page post with his name, right?
