Remove the visual editor

    Is there any way I can remove the Visual Editor completely?
    It’s like a curse!
    I do all my editing in the text editor.
    But once I click save it shows up in the visual editor.
    And then the code is all messed up.
    I have a plugin to disable the visual editor in my posts and pages.
    But it doesn’t work on ShortCoder.

    Don’t get me wrong. Shortcoder is an amazing plugin.
    But this particular part is just a curse.
    It’s like having the most amazing car in the world.
    With flat tires.

    Can something be done about this?

  • That’s a great suggestion! I see that if you use text view it’s not changing scripts, but I have a feeling if you use visual editor and then switch back it will change it. Best if there was no editor, or the option to turn it off : )

    Hi,

    Thanks for using the plugin. You don’t need another plugins/ separate option to disable “visual editor”.

    WordPress gives you settings by default to do it.
    Please go to Users -> Your profile and check the option ” Disable the visual editor when writing” to disable visual editor.
