My theme creates an archive for /type/standard on the site.

Because the only type I use is standard, this is redundant. Worse, it duplicates the main post archive.

There is a lot of help for someone who wants to add archives, but how can I remove this one? I don’t want to remove the category archives at the same time.

I’ve found the is_post_type_archive function, but have no idea how to use this to hide a type.

With luck the linked page may be gone by the time you read this.

Link redirects to your home page, so I assume you’ve resolved this. When you have a spare moment please mark this topic as resolved so others needn’t expend any effort on this, as little as it may be. Thanks.

The problem isn’t solved. I redirected the page to keep things tidy. Would prefer to fix, but am happy to mark as resolved if you prefer. Please let me know.

It can remain unresolved. No worries. I didn’t quite understand your OP and hoped the link would shed some light. It may not have helped, this may be a topic I’m unable to answer. If it makes sense to someone else they may still respond.
