The only issue I am having with this plugin is that it can’t get rid of the useless and SEO unfriendly leading /product/ from the URL. I bought a plugin for $120 to do this yesterday and it doesn’t play nice with your plugin. Could you easily add the functionality to get rid of the /product/ from the URL? Is there a way to do this with your plugin that I am missing? Maybe you could take a look at the code of the plugin I bought that can do this for ideas on how to implement… You can download here.

Here is an article for reference. Maybe this will help. The example link he has does not have the “/product” in the URL and he is selecting the exact category he wants to use. I’m not quite advanced enough to implement this myself but maybe it will be helpful to you and could be implemented in the plugin.

Also, I can still reach my products using multiple URL strings (some products fall under multiple categories). It would be a helpful feature to convert all other permalinks to the product to redirects to the permalink set when editing the product using your plugin. Otherwise, google is going to get a bunch of duplicate pages.

  • Hi authoritytactical,

Unfortunately, at the moment, there isn’t a possibility to remove the product permalink base (i.e. /product/ or any other slug) with the plugin.

Ok. Is this something that you would consider adding? Did you check out the article I attached?

It’s definitely a feature in the to do list, but I don’t know to tell you yet when it is going to be developed.
