    Okay, I chose this theme because I liked the way to photos were used. However, now that I’ve got it installed and posted a few things with my own pictures, I noticed a very irritating grey overlay/background on the homepage which I absolutely do NOT want over my featured images. I want my featured images to be displayed normal. Why does this happen? And more important: how can I get rid of it without having to edit the theme every time there’s an update to theme?

    Here‘s my site.

    The original image on the post (Blockade results September 6th, 2014) looks like this and that is what I want to see. Not that grey thing instead of the white.

    Hi Sherizlya,

    If you go to ‘Theme Options’ and then type the following in the ‘Custom CSS” box, it should get rid of the grey:

    #primary article.grid2 .featured-thumb:before {
    background: none;
    }

    Ah, finally! Thanks. I think I did something wrong when I tried that earlier. Earlier it didn’t work. Perhaps I forgot something or wrote something wrong ;(

    Anyway, thanks for the help!
