Remove text shadow & Car Title Name Cut Short

I am having the same issue. From what I can tell the Title Name is truncating at 19 characters.

For reasons that are hard to explain, the title is trimmed at 19 characters by default.

The latest development version has an option that let’s you modify the title trim;

You can set it at a high number, like 300 and it won’t trim your titles…unless they are longer than 300 characters, in which case use a higher number.

Where do I go to edit the title size?

In version 1.2.9 (the current development version) you’ll find the option on the Car Demon settings page.

Dashboard->Cars For Sale->Car Demon Settings

About halfway down the page you’ll see the option for trimming the title.

The feature is not available in the current public release 1.2.4

Thanks very much Jay, I have 1.2.4 installed, can I update the plugin? or do I have re-do everything?

How would you suggest I go about it?

I also meant to ask – see on each car page is there any way to remove the VIN# text and change the stock text to show the price?

When upgrading you should always make backups of your current file system and database, just in case.

I can’t promise you won’t have any issues upgrading, no two sites are the same and there are so many variables that might come into play.

With that being said the 1.2.9 development release shouldn’t give you any problems. Worst case you might need to go in and re-save your Car Demon settings.

As for changing around the Vin#, stock and prices you’ll need to build your own template pages to accomplish that.

Any ideas on how to get the shadows away from the title and bullet points of the vehicles? It’s rather annoying and can hardly make out the bullet points
