    hello,
I have tried to install and enable Jetpack Search but on the site now a request is made to stats.wp.com. I tried looking everywhere in the settings but couldn’t find anything to disable it.

Is it possible to use Jetpack Search without necessarily having to have connections to stats.wp.com?

    Thanks.

    Hi @skariko,

    Thanks for contacting us.

Jetpack Stats, Jetpack Search, and other features rely on a connection with WordPress.com to enhance your site’s capabilities.

Therefore, even though it’s primarily used by Jetpack Stats, the connection to stats.wp.com is an essential part of using Jetpack and its features and cannot be disabled completely.

If you want to disable scripts related to Jetpack Stats from being loaded, you can individually disable your Jetpack Stats module from here: https://example.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=jetpack_modules.

You will need to replace example.com in the sample above with your site’s actual URL.

    Hope this was helpful!

    Best,
