Hello, is it possible to remove slide transition completely when navigating between lightbox images? I know you said in a previous support thread that fade was not possible, but can we just have no effect?

I see it was accomplished in the other WP Plugin that uses photoswipe – but I like yours better for its config options.

What I also like about the other plugin is the effect they have when you click on a thumbnail, the smooth zoom transition from thumbnail to open lightbox and back(close lightbox). But yours just has better configurations!

Other plugins do not remove that – they don’t have this at all. The slide animations for the desktop view were added in my plugin, also see the FAQ:

    11) Added slide animation for changing images using the arrow buttons or via keyboard as suggested in https://github.com/dimsemenov/PhotoSwipe/pull/1179″

However there is no easy way to disable this as this is not just a “transition”. In fact this would require keeping two different version of the Photoswipe script: one with the animation and another one without.

I’ll see what I can do for future updates, but don’t expect anything very soon as I’m quite busy at the moment with many projects.

Sorry for the confusion – but this option is already implemented! Just look at the “Desktop” tab in the backend and uncheck the following option

Use slide animation when switching images in desktop view
