• Hey,
I checked other threads, but none of the answers worked or were relatable to my problem.

I ran PageSpeed insights (for [ redundant link removed ]) and under the

found links to Skimresources such as:

    https://t.skimresources.com/api/v2/robots.txt?__skimjs_preflight__please_ignore__=true&rnd=0.5525350454119171

Then, I went to the aforementioned post and clicked the F12 > Network > refreshed website, so I could inspect in more detail.
I found that for some reason Skimresources gets “called”. I checked Initiators, but I cannot figure it out. I do not run ads on my blog and I would like to get rid off this.

  • Track down the origin by disabling all plugins and activating a WordPress Twenty* theme. If a new test shpws these calls have gone then activate and test one by one until you track down the source.

You’re right, I always forget about this basic method of troubleshooting xD Thank you for reminding me.

For those with similar problems: It was my theme Schema (premium version).
    I will contact the developers.

Happy to hear you found the cause ??
