Remove sitename from og:title

Thanks for reaching out here. If you want to edit the og:title on a specific page, you can do that directly by editing the relevant page and using the Yoast SEO meta box → Social (tab), you would be able to it (Facebook).

Or you want to disable the og:title completely? If yes, you won’t see the correct data when sharing your site on Facebook. You can do that from the SEO → Social → Facebook (tab).

It isn’t practical to edit each og:title manually on a busy blog.

I don’t want to disable og:title completely. I’d like it to just be “Post Title” and not “Post Title – Site Name”.

I know I can go to Search Appearance > Content Types > and remove Site Title from the setting for Single Posts. But doing that will also remove Site Title from the <Title> Tag.

I don’t want to remove Site Title from the <Title> tag. Just the Og:title.
Also, it seems redundant to have site title in og:title when you already have a og:site_name…no ?

Thanks for your clarification. We are afraid to say that Yoast SEO has no option to globally set the open graph title based on the content types and use specific template variables only. However, we can confirm that this is a feature that we’re currently working on and will be released in a future version of the plugin.

In the meantime, you can perform the customization you’d need using the wpseo_opengraph_title filter. You can find more further information about this here: https://developer.yoast.com/
